"Petersburg Biotechnologies" is an innovative Russian research&development company that was established in 2005. We view our mission in development and implementation of scientifically verified and practically proven innovative technologies for crop husbandry that would be at the same time environmentally friendly and energy/resource efficient.



 Key efficiency indicators for the know-how we develop are:

• harmlessness for human beings and environment
• reduced or no reliance on pesticides and agrichemicals during production of agricultural commodities
• high yields of crops: at least, at the same rate as provided by conventional intensive technologies involving large amounts of agrichemicals
• better quality of the end product
• considerably lower cost of yield due to reduced expenses per square unit of farmland
• individual approach to each crop and each farm depending of soil type and climatic conditions.

 Our company has been successfully accomplishing these tasks for already 5 years; first and foremost our achievements have been due to the high qualification of our personnel. Currently our project teams for the development and implementation of biotechnologies include 3 PhD holders in Agriculture and 5 academic agriscientists, many technical specialist and engineers, along with agriscience practitioners from several Russia’s regions.



  The fact that our company is based in the town of Pushkin – one of St.Petersburg's closest suburbs – is symbolic. This architecturally beautiful settlement – a former summer residence of Russian emperors – hosts one of the largest hubs of Russian agriscience that includes a number R&D and educational institutions working in this sector of economy.



  One of our key contractual partners in this field is the Russian National Institute for Agricultural Microbiology (Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences). Together with research fellows at the Institute we have been developing and testing new technologies for the farming industry.



  In order to ensure a comprehensive agriservice support for our know-how being implemented in different farming enterprises, we send our specialists to all Russia’s regions for the purposes of control, supervision, consultancy and follow-up; we have been actively building up a network of our regional branches. Our representative offices are already working in the Tula, Tambov, Belgorod regions and in the Republic of Adygeya.



  The main result of our 5-year long efforts has been the successful implementation of our technologies in more than 200 farms in Russia:



-    the Central Federal District of Russia: such regions as Tula, Moscow, Orel, Kaluga, Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Ryazan, Tver, Yaroslavl

-    the Northwest Federal District of Russia: such regions as Leningradsky, Kalinin, Novgorod and Arkhangelsk

-    Siberia: such regions as Omsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirskaya and Kemerovskaya.



  Currently our biotechnologies are being test-used in the Southern Federal District:  in Volgograd region and Rostov region, in the Republic of Adygeya, in the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic. We also work in other countries: Eastern Europe (Bulgaria and Ukraine: Poltava region, Republic of Crimea), Southern Africa (Republic of Angola).



  Among our future plans is improving the existing technologies, opening more representative offices, development and production of auxiliary farm machinery, development of comprehensive programs for agricultural production, participating in tenders for research and production projects in the area of crop farming.
